Well it’s getting to be that time of year – yes Halloween is JUST around the corner! What better way to add some extra flare to your spooky costume than some Glow-In-The-Dark Face Painting! Or , if Halloween is not your thing, then Day of the Dead is right around the corner, yet another opportunity to apply some Glow-In-The-Dark Face Painting effects!
With the (spooky) spirit of the season in mind we found a cool video on Youtube showing us a really great Glow-In-The-Dark face painting process. The artist’s name is Sara and her painting style in the video is more classic Day of the Dead (Coming right around the corner on November 2nd 🙂 ) than purely Halloween. However the two holidays are so close here in the USA, that we think felt the video speaks to the Halloween as well!
Overall the video is pretty well done, though the music gets a little overpowering about half way through (confession – we turned the volume down at that point). Beyond the music you can see the artists’ entire process for putting together the Glow-In-The-Dark face painting creation. We love the use of multi-colored Glow-In-The-Dark Face Paint – which really helps complete the overall effect. You get to see the sketching process (in the dark) all the way through filling in the various designs all over the space to create a really great finished Day of the Dead Skull on the model’s face.
Ideally this video will help give yous some ideas for your own Glow-In-The-Dark face painting this Halloween / Day of the Dead Season – or at the very least guide whoever you are letting paint your face!
